Photographer's Comment: This little fella along with another caterpillar had just devoured all the leaves on my milkweed plant. One of the parents placed it on the top of the plant so I took its picture. I hope that it will start spinning its chrysallis soon because there is no more food for it to eat.

By kmackles (2007-10-03 13:48:05 ): I agree that the focus is not what it could be but theI like the hanging in space appearance..it is something akin to magic. makes want to take a second look. the DOF around the black attenae is good and would of like to see that through the whole shot... I love bugs and I really enjoyed this shot

By steadyonabix (2007-10-02 23:06:23 ): Focus lets this down. Haven't shot with a Fuji FinePix so I don't know if it gives you the ability to focus manually. With a slightly tighter crop the comp would work but it looks like it is hanging in space to me.
