About Mary Lombard:
Intrigued by the smells of my grandfather's darkroom (which doubled as a tornado shelter) and my father's leather camera strap, I have a genetic need to take pictures. From my first real (i.e., non-Instamatic) camera--a Canon EOS 650, which I still use--to my digital Rebel XTI, I've shot nature, animals, kids.... My two children are extremely photogenic and the source of my inspiration. I try to duplicate shots I see here and in other photography media--copying the pros, if you will, to learn the skill. Still trying to learn the limitations of my camera and where digital software picks up the image adjustment.
