About ANDREW FULTON:
Greetings:
My name is Andy. I grew up in Colorado and have been in awe of the cameras insight for as long as I can remember. On February 20th, 1982 my grand father watched as I unwrapped the best present I have ever received. When I turned eleven my grand father gave me a Rollei Rolleiflex 35mm rangefinder with a retractable 40 mm zeiss lense, step meter and flash unit. (I had never seen a flash unit before, just bulbs and cubes and, incidentally, I have not owned a more precise camera since). In about a year and 9 exhausted volmes of Time Warners monthly distributed Great Photography Series, I fumbled clumsily into learning how to make half way decent images...
Later on down the road I earned a BFA from Creighton University; my thesis show consisted of 45 BW landscape photographs made from my 4x5 and 8x10 cameras...
Regarding my art; essentially, I am most interested in illuminating the abstract found in my subject's linear and tonal qualities. It really does not matter to me what "type" or genre my subject is, only its/his/her lines and shades...Thank you for looking at my site, I appreciate and welcome any feedback.
