Don't be bashful! If you want comments, give comments. You don't need to be an expert photographer to express your opinion about the work of others. You don't need to go into great depth. A simple remark about cropping, composition, color, subject matter, etc. can be of just as much help to a budding photographer as an in-depth critique.
Use backlight to create an interesting effect upon your subject. Experiment with your camera’s light meter to capture the most attractive exposure. Post your favorite image on pwsbooks.com and explain why this image appeals to you.
The backlight in this image creates a beautiful rim light around the outline of my subject, separating him from the background. The late afternoon light is still bright but not harsh. I like the moment this image captured — it’s a timeless stance and his expression is accentuated by the light.
