Don't be bashful! If you want comments, give comments. You don't need to be an expert photographer to express your opinion about the work of others. You don't need to go into great depth. A simple remark about cropping, composition, color, subject matter, etc. can be of just as much help to a budding photographer as an in-depth critique.
Throughout this chapter I’ve focused on taking artistic photos of textures both by paralleling subjects and by shooting them at an angle. Now it’s your turn to try your hand at it! Find a fabric or material you find fascinating, and take an extreme macro photo of it at a slight angle, so that the depth of field forms a diagonal line through the material, highlighting its structure, color, and texture.
