Don't be bashful! If you want comments, give comments. You don't need to be an expert photographer to express your opinion about the work of others. You don't need to go into great depth. A simple remark about cropping, composition, color, subject matter, etc. can be of just as much help to a budding photographer as an in-depth critique.
Take a nighttime picture using light from a streetlight, moonlight, car lights, or any other available light. If you have a dSLR, set your camera to Shutter Priority so that you can control how long the shutter stays open. If you have a point-and-shoot, you may need to set the camera to nighttime format on the camera’s automatic settings. You probably want to use a tripod or set your camera on a hard surface to accommodate the long exposure. Take a picture of traffic going by, or an object under a streetlight, or anything that inspires you.
