"I am having an amazing time shooting with my iPhone 3Gs. I shoot constantly and am literally drowning in images! What a fate! I remember once upon a time thinking I had run out of things to shoot! Holy cow," she told us.

Her favorite apps are Hipstamatic and SwankoLab (which simulates a real darkroom, complete with chemicals, developing tray, safelight and timer). She sometimes also uses Photoshop for cropping and for special effects.

Marian has just added a new gallery of iPhone images to her website. Currently, she has six iPhone images in an art exhibit at the Newark School of the Arts in New Jersey. The show is called "Les Petits Travaux Montrent," The Small Works Show. She also is displaying four iPhone images in the International Cell Phone Photo Exhibit in Miami, Florida.

As far as future plans, she says she's thinking about putting together a book of my iPhone images since they seem to have received so many very positive reactions from fellow photographers.

"I just want to add that shooting with the iPhone seems to have freed me from the boundaries and rules of more traditional fine art photography," she says. "My excitement and enthusiasm is overwhelming. This has spilled over into my photography using other cameras as well. When a musician friend asked me the other evening about why I shoot with my cell phone as opposed to using my Canon G9, I suggested to him that creating art with either instrument is like making music with a clarinet vs a violin."
